Customer Service Dispatcher

Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service Dispatcher, where you'll be the vital link ensuring seamless communication and coordination within our transportation and logistics operations. In this energetic role, you'll manage dispatching activities, coordinate freight movements, and provide exceptional support to drivers, carriers, and clients. Your expertise will help optimize delivery schedules, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction through proactive communication and precise data management. Duties

  • Act as the primary point of contact for dispatching freight and coordinating transportation schedules using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
  • Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
  • Enter accurate data into systems like AS400 and transportation management platforms to track shipments, delivery statuses, and freight details.
  • Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including freight pickup, delivery scheduling, and warehouse logistics.
  • Manage fleet operations by monitoring vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics, dispatching efficiency, and supply chain workflows.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), Oracle Transportation Management, and logistics software such as SyteLine or AS400.
  • Experience with GPS tracking, GIS mapping tools, and transportation planning techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear verbal and written interactions; proficient in phone etiquette.
  • Demonstrated analysis skills to interpret data related to freight movements, fleet management, and supply chain performance.
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry with high attention to detail in systems like Oracle TMS or AS400.
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, freight documentation, and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations.
  • Multitasking capability using multi-line phone systems while maintaining professionalism under pressure. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about logistics who thrive in fast-paced environments where proactive problem-solving makes a real difference!

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
