Customer Service Representative

What is a Customer Service Representative or Patient Advocate for IME Guards?
A patient advocate for IME Guards will accompany a claimant (injury victim) during a medical appointment given by a doctor hired by a defense lawyer in a lawsuit. The appointments take place mostly in the Bronx, Westchester, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.

What qualities does a Patient Advocate possess?

  • Patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Punctual and professional;
  • Assertive but not contentious;

Responsibilities

  • Meet the claimant at doctor’s office;
  • Make a detailed hand-written record of the IME;
  • Create a computerized report of the IME; and
  • Submit the report in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and listening skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word;
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities;
  • High school diploma or higher;
  • Owns a car, not required but a big plus; and
  • Fluent Spanish is not required but a huge plus;

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Language:

  • fluent Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License and your own car (Preferred)
