Customer Service Representative

Full-time - 36-40 hours per week

Pay is $15-$20 per hour, based on experience.

Join our team and work in a fast-paced professional aviation service environment at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport. Bent Wing Flight Services is the airport's Fixed Base Operator (FBO) and provides aircraft services to customers in business and private aviation.

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) staffs the reception desk and is the first point of contact for pilots and passengers entering the terminal. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in every duty, from greeting customers, to answering the phone, to executing air-to-ground communication with aircraft pilots.

Our professional CSRs are highly competent in using proprietary aviation POS software and work closely with our Flightline Service Technicians to coordinate aircraft and ramp service requests.

CSRs also offer concierge services to customers, providing information on aviation catering, restaurants, hotels, and car and limousine rental.

Various daily duties also include, but are not limited to: performing cash/credit card transactions, maintaining daily fuel sales and accounting paperwork, and assisting FBO Manager/Operations Supervisor with administrative duties. This job requires a self-motivated person with a positive attitude who enjoys being part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years old
• Excellent customer relations skills required
• Aviation experience preferred
• Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure
• Sales transaction processing to include cash, credit and general invoicing
• Knowledge and proficiency with Windows-based software: Office, Word, Excel,
• Ability to learn proprietary work-related aviation point of sale software
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• General mathematical and accounting skills
• Ability to maintain confidential customer travel data and credit information
• Must maintain a valid state driver’s license

Working Conditions

• Working inside a climate-controlled airport terminal with occasional customer service functions performed outside

Physical Requirements

• Requires light to moderate lifting, walking, standing and bending
• Ability to hear and speak clearly, including while utilizing telecommunication devices such as radios, cell phones, and air-to-ground communications equipment.
