Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Goodwin and Son’s Inc., operating as Goodwin’s Market, is hiring a part-time remote Customer Service Representative to support customer communication for its grocery and market operations.

Goodwin’s Market serves customers through grocery departments, deli ordering, bakery, produce, meat, coffee and juice bar service, pickup orders, delivery service, weekly promotions, and general store support. This role helps customers receive clear answers, accurate order support, and timely follow-up.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to handle customer questions with professionalism.

Position Description

The Customer Service Representative will assist customers with store service questions, order details, pickup and delivery support, product inquiries, deli and prepared food questions, and general customer concerns.

This is a remote part-time position. The employee will work through company-approved communication tools and will coordinate with store management or approved team contacts when customer questions require confirmation.

This role requires accuracy. Customer names, order notes, pickup instructions, delivery details, product questions, and follow-up records must be entered clearly so the store team has the right information.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries
Answer customer questions about store services, online ordering, pickup, delivery, deli orders, bakery items, coffee and juice bar orders, product availability, store hours, fees, and general service information.

Support pickup and delivery orders
Review customer questions about pickup times, delivery windows, substitutions, missing order details, order status, and special instructions. Route issues to the proper store contact when needed.

Assist with order-related concerns
Help customers report missing items, incorrect items, delayed orders, substitution questions, payment-related concerns, service issues, and general feedback.

Record customer information accurately
Enter customer names, contact details, order notes, product questions, complaints, and follow-up needs into the approved system.

Coordinate with store staff
Confirm product details, pricing questions, order updates, department information, or management decisions before giving customers final answers.

Follow up with customers
Provide clear updates when more information is available. Keep communication polite, professional, and easy to understand.

Maintain service records
Keep organized notes on customer questions, order concerns, repeated issues, and follow-up items for management review.

Protect customer information
Handle customer contact details, order information, and payment-related information with care and confidentiality.

Represent the company professionally
Use a helpful and respectful tone in all customer communication.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to enter customer notes and order details accurately
  • Ability to follow procedures and ask for clarification when details are incomplete
  • Comfortable using email, online forms, spreadsheets, order systems, chat tools, or customer service platforms
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work scheduled part-time hours remotely
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $23.40 - $28.18 per hour
