Job Summary

The Vehicle Customs Clearance Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process for VG Car Trading Company vehicles and coordinating for shipment/vehicle transfers. This role requires familiarity with customs systems, a solid understanding of import/export regulations, and effective communication with customs authorities. The specialist ensures timely, compliant, and efficient movement of vehicles across borders.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all customs clearance procedures for vehicles, including document preparation, submission, and follow-up.
• Can make Gate Advise/Gate Pass and knowledge of how to work on Oman Trade Portal for refund and storage payment.
• Coordinate cargo and vehicle transfer activities to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
• Interact directly with customs officials to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Should have strong knowledge with the custom clearance procedure and documentation for Vehicles in Oman.
• Verify accuracy of documentation such as invoices, packing lists, permits, and certificates.
• Collaborate with internal logistics teams, transport partners, and external agencies to streamline operations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of customs transactions and compliance reports.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in vehicle customs clearance or import/export logistics strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with customs systems and electronic declaration platforms.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, and vehicle clearance procedures.
• He should know Oman Trade Portal
