Customs Coordinator

As a Customs Representative at Delta Plus, you will play a pivotal role in managing our customs and trade compliance functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, customs authorities, and external partners to ensure seamless and compliant import and export processes for our safety equipment products.

Job Description;

Customs Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all customs regulations, laws, and procedures related to the import and export of safety equipment.

Import and Export Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate import and export documentation, including customs declarations, permits, licenses, and certificates of origin.

Tariff Classification: Properly classify safety equipment products according to relevant tariff codes and ensure correct duty calculations.

Customs Clearance: Coordinate with customs brokers and agents to facilitate the timely clearance of goods, resolve customs- related issues, and minimize delays.

Trade Agreements: Stay informed about and leverage trade agreements, such as free trade agreements and preferential trade arrangements, to optimize customs processes and reduce costs. (Free Zone)

Duty Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize duty and tax payments while ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Audit and Compliance Checks: Conduct internal customs compliance audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or non-compliance issues.

Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure they comply with customs regulations and provide the necessary documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and trade policies, and implement best practices to improve customs and trade compliance processes.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics, supply chain, and finance teams to align customs activities with overall business goals.

Requirement & Skills;

· Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· Experience in customs and trade compliance within a manufacturing or safety equipment industry preferable from a Freezone company would be an added advantage.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

· Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

· Certification in customs and trade compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) is a plus.

· Proficiency in customs management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
