Re-Export & Customs Compliance Specialist – Dubai Free Zone

Job Summary

We are a dynamic company operating within a leading Dubai Free Zone, seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Re-Export Operations Specialist to manage our re-export and logistics operations. This is a critical role for our business, requiring an expert who can handle the complexities of moving goods through the free zone, ensuring full compliance with Dubai Customs and relevant free zone authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end re-export operations, including inbound, outbound, transfer, and re-export processes within the Free Zone .
• Prepare, review, and process all customs documentation for import, export, and re-export, including customs declarations, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin .
• Ensure full compliance with Dubai Customs regulations, Free Zone rules, and UAE import/export laws .
• Coordinate daily with Dubai Customs, Free Zone authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transport providers .
• Obtain necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from authorities like SIRA for restricted or sensitive goods .
• Manage customs inspections, resolve declaration discrepancies, and handle penalties or compliance risks .
• Track and update all shipment statuses for re-export shipments and report to management .
• Handle customs deposits, bank guarantees, and follow up on refunds for re-export transactions

Requirements

• Minimum 3-3 years of experience in logistics, customs clearance, or operations, specifically within a Dubai Free Zone .
• Strong, demonstrable knowledge of Dubai Customs procedures, Mirsal II system, and Free Zone regulations (e.g., JAFZA, DAFZA) .
• In-depth understanding of re-export, transit, and temporary admission procedures .
• Experience with import/export documentation and HS tariff codes .

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
