We are seeking a motivated and experienced Purchase & Logistics Specialist to join our Hardware & Building Materials division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, coordinating with suppliers, managing logistics operations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to customers and project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Coordination
- Prepare quotations, proforma invoices, and invoices.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers.
- Track customer orders and manage delivery expectations.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source hardware and building materials including timber, steel, sanitary, electrical, and safety products.
- Request and compare supplier quotations.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
- Negotiate prices, discounts, payment terms, and credit facilities.
- Maintain and update supplier records and databases.
Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate local transportation and deliveries.
- Monitor shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to customers and project sites.
- Resolve delivery and invoice discrepancies with suppliers and the finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in Building Materials, Hardware, or Construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and suppliers within the UAE.
- Experience sourcing materials such as Timber, Veneer, MDF, Plywood, Steel, Sanitary, Electrical, and Safety products.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- UAE experience is required.
- Existing supplier network within the UAE/GCC market is an advantage.
Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
