About The Role
The
Cybersecurity Analyst
supports daily cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and security operations that protect Ventas’ systems and data. In this junior–mid‑level role, the analyst assists with implementing security controls, responding to alerts, and maintaining core security tools. Reporting to the Manager, IT Security, this position works closely with IT teams and external partners to help strengthen Ventas’ overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities Include

incident response efforts, including evidence collection, documentation, root‑cause analysis, and remediation steps.

Assist in vulnerability scanning, patch verification, and remediation tracking across servers, endpoints, and cloud environments.

Ensure 3rd party security documentation is kept up to date and monitor for gaps

Conduct routine security health checks and support maintenance of security tools such as EDR, MFA/SSO, firewalls, and email security platforms.

Help implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, technical standards, and user awareness initiatives.

Maintain accurate documentation for security systems, processes, and incident reports.

Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, and Applications teams to ensure secure configurations and timely issue resolution.

Participate in security projects, audits, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant experience may be considered.

2+ years of hands‑on cybersecurity or IT security operations experience.

Must be located in the Chicago, IL or Louisville, KY, or New York City, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.

Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 1 days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in‑office operations.

Foundational experience with: SIEM platforms, endpoint protection/EDR tools, vulnerability scanners, MFA/SSO administration, firewall or network security concepts, and cloud security basics.

Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux system administration, identity and access management, and Active Directory fundamentals.

Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document incidents and communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent are a plus.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
The estimated base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000
per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base pay will be determined based on work location, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and business needs.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and other wellness benefits under applicable plan terms.
