Cybersecurity Operations Officer

Job Purpose:

Uses data collected from cyber defense tools to analyze events that occur within Flynas to detect and mitigate cyber threats.

Key Accountabilities:

Functional

• Policies and Procedures

Ensure flynas business departments complies with flynas policies and processes, practices and systems, and maintain flynas high standard of work and work ethic.

Operational

• Monitor and analyze system and network activity using cybersecurity tools to detect, identify, and respond to threats, attacks, and anomalous behavior.
• Correlate data from various sources to identify vulnerabilities, determine Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and assess potential impact.
• Investigate alerts, incidents, and malware to determine root causes, methods of exploitation, and system effects.
• Perform regular security reviews, gap analyses, and risk assessments to inform mitigation strategies.
• Examine network traffic and topology to understand data flows, identify anomalies, and reconstruct malicious activities.
• Develop or update detection signatures and contribute to incident response actions in alignment with organizational protocols.
• Provide timely reporting and trend analysis on cyber threats, incidents, and the organization’s security posture.
• Ensure access controls and compliance measures are in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Support the development and tuning of cyber defense tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address vulnerabilities, resolve incidents, and enhance cybersecurity readiness.
• Continuously monitor external threat intelligence sources to maintain situational awareness and inform defensive strategies.
