Daily Morning Pet Care Employee (Part-Time)

Chewie Boots Pet Care is hiring a reliable, animal-loving morning pet care employee to help with dog walks and pet care drop-in visits in Appleton, WI. This is an active, independent role that’s perfect for an early riser who communicates well and takes pet safety seriously.

Schedule

• Morning availability required Monday–Friday (some weekends/holidays a plus, if you want extra hours)
• Flexible hours based on bookings
• Most visits occur early mornings (generally between 7:00 AM–11:00 AM)
• Minimum commitment: 6 months

Pay & Perks

• Starting pay: $12/hour (W-2 employee)
• Paid drive time between visits (when traveling from one client to the next)
• Tips: May be received if clients choose to tip (not guaranteed)
• Raises: Based on performance, reliability, and quality of care

Responsibilities

• Dog walking and potty breaks
• Drop-in visits for pets (feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, litter box care)
• Follow written care instructions and company safety procedures
• Send visit updates after each visit (notes + photos)
• Maintain professionalism in clients’ homes (secure entry/exit, respect property, follow schedules)

Requirements

• Ability to commit to at least 6 months
• Comfortable working outdoors in all Wisconsin weather
• Confident handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
• Strong reliability, communication, and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation (travel between client homes)
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods; ability to lift up to ~40 lbs
• Background check and/or reference check may be required

Preferred (Not Required)

• Professional pet care experience (pet sitting, dog daycare, vet clinic, shelter, grooming, etc.)
• Pet CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Availability for occasional midday/evening fill-ins

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
