Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to manage, organize, and maintain our company’s digital information. This role covers data capture, digitization, infrastructure maintenance, migration, integration, and quality control, ensuring that all data is accurate, secure, and readily available for business use.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Data Capture & Digitization
- Primary Data Entry: Converting all incoming physical records, handwritten notes, and paper forms into structured digital formats using MS Excel, Google Sheets, and other data entry tools.
- Archiving: Scanning and indexing physical documents into the digital database using Google Drive and document management tools to ensure a paperless workflow.
- Transcription: Ensuring high-speed and high-accuracy entry of raw information into central tracking systems using Excel-based templates, Google Sheets, and internal data management systems.
2. Data Infrastructure & Maintenance
- System Administration: Managing the organization and health of all company data within the Google Workspace ecosystem (Google Sheets, Google Drive) and other structured databases.
- Data Cleansing: Periodically auditing the database using MS Excel functions, Google Sheets formulas, and data validation tools to remove duplicates, fix formatting errors, and ensure data consistency.
- Folder Hierarchy: Developing and maintaining a logical digital filing system within Google Drive and shared databases so that all company data remains searchable, organized, and secure.
3. Data Migration & Integration
- Cross-Platform Synchronization: Moving and reconciling data between different software platforms using Excel, Google Sheets, and data import/export tools.
- Data Mapping: Structuring and mapping data fields during migration to ensure accurate placement and integrity across systems.
4. Quality Control & Reporting
- Validation: Cross-checking digital outputs against original source materials using Excel validation tools, Google Sheets checks, and audit logs to guarantee high data reliability.
- Performance Metrics: Maintaining a log of data processed and generating basic insights and progress reports using MS Excel dashboards, Google Sheets reports, and Power BI visualizations.
- Support: Acting as the point of contact for the team to help locate, extract, and analyze specific data points from the system using Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI reporting tools.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in data entry, data management, or a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Tools: Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain accurate data records.
