Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and ETL tools such as Talend and Bash scripts to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to communicate complex insights clearly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to understand business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and support project management efforts throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Perform business analysis by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within data sets to inform strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain database schemas using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and database design principles for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implement Linked Data principles to connect disparate data sources for comprehensive analysis.
- Document processes with tools like Visio and ensure compliance with best practices in analytics workflows.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects demonstrating analytical skills.
- Proficiency in SQL programming for data extraction and manipulation; experience with R, Python, VBA, and Bash scripting is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for creating compelling dashboards.
- Familiarity with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools; understanding of SDLC methodologies in an Agile setting.
- Knowledge of database design principles for Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle environments.
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to interpret data into actionable insights.
