Job Nexus India is listing an opportunity for a Data Analyst Internship with one of our hiring partners. This position is suitable for individuals who are eager to develop real-world analytical skills, work with structured and unstructured datasets, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and structure datasets from multiple sources
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Support business and product teams with actionable insights
• Build dashboards and reports using BI and visualisation tools
• Assist in A/B testing, user-behaviour analysis, and performance tracking
• Write SQL queries to solve business questions and generate insights
• Create visualisations for non-technical stakeholders
• Clean and preprocess raw data using Python, SQL, or analytical tools
• Participate in standups, sprint planning, and documentation workflows
• Collaborate with engineering, product, growth, and marketing teams
• Maintain documentation of datasets, schemas, and analysis processes
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R for data manipulation
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Understanding of statistics, probability, and analytical concepts
• Ability to build charts, dashboards, and data-driven reports
• Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to interpret analytical outcomes and convert them into insights
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and basic data warehousing principles
• Familiarity with APIs and JSON data formats
• Experience with visualisation tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI)
• Understanding of basic machine learning concepts (regression, clustering, classification)
• Exposure to Git, version control, Notion/JIRA, or Agile environments
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
