Data Architect

We are looking to hire a Data Architect who will be responsible for defining and governing enterprise data architecture, designing scalable data platforms, and enabling AI/ML workloads for our client based in Dubai- one of the largest semi-government in the region .

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable based on performance .

We are looking for a passionate a Data Architect who can drive enterprise data strategy and ensure scalable, secure, and AI-ready data platforms. You should also have experience in Azure data platform, ETL/ELT frameworks, API-based integrations, and data governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture blueprints, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Architect and implement scalable data platforms such as Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, MDM systems, and real-time streaming solutions.
• Establish patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Design integration architectures spanning applications, APIs, and external data sources.
• Assess, evaluate, and recommend modern data technologies to meet evolving business needs.
• Develop reference architectures for real-time data processing, batch ingestion, API-driven integrations, and AI/ML enablement.
• Own enterprise data models and canonical definitions, enforcing standards for naming conventions, data quality, metadata management, and MDM practices.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR) and organizational security standards.
• Enable AI/ML initiatives by supporting data readiness, feature stores, model lifecycle management, and data lineage tracking.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, BI & Analytics teams, and business domain stakeholders.
• Present strategic architectural recommendations and insights to senior leadership to guide data-driven decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture.
• Strong experience in Azure.
• Hands on experience in Palantir is an advantage
• Expertise in data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault, Canonical models) is an advantage,
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT frameworks and API-based integrations.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads preferred.
