About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Classification Specialist with strong technical expertise in enterprise data protection, classification tools, compliance frameworks, and metadata tagging. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying classification agents, managing classification policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance across various departments and data categories.

Must-Have Qualifications

✔ 5+ years total experience (minimum 4+ years in Data Classification)
✔ 3+ years experience as L2
✔ Expertise in any one Data Classification tool:

• Titus
• Fortra
• Forcepoint

✔ At least one relevant certification (Security / Data Protection / OEM, etc.)
✔ Strong understanding of PII/PHI classification, metadata tagging, and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities
Data Classification & Protection

• Deploy, configure, and manage Data Classification agents across endpoints.
• Classify PII/PHI and create detailed data flow maps.
• Apply metadata tagging and document classification for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, images, text files, and other formats.
• Classify documents within Microsoft Office and integrate classification for OpenOffice.

Compliance & Security Integration

• Ensure alignment with GDPR, DPDP, IRDAI, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Configure automated or suggested classification policies.
• Provide real-time alerts and integrate with existing security systems.
• Trigger classification during Save, Save As, Print, etc., based on policy configuration.

Operations & Reporting

• Deliver periodic compliance and activity reports.
• Re-deploy agents and provide updates as required.
• Support multiple departments including:

IT/BPR, IT/SD, CRM-PS, CRM-Claims, Actuarial, NB, P&GS, Investment, Personnel, Office Services, and others handling sensitive data.

Additional Capabilities

• Enable user-defined classification labels (Public, Internal, Confidential, Restricted).
• Apply labels to document headers/footers, with selectable options.
• Support bulk classification of multiple documents.
