Job Description:

The Data Collector will play a key role in our organization's data gathering initiatives by conducting rigorous field surveys and engaging directly with customers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer account data. This position requires the incumbent to meticulously collect vital information such as customer names, national IDs, addresses, contact information, and dates of birth, while also securing GPS coordinates for each customer location. A critical aspect of this role involves confirming meter numbers associated with customer accounts and actively promoting digital adoption by encouraging customers to register through online service channels. Additionally, the Data Collector will be responsible for delivering official letters and user guides to customers who are resistant to cooperation, showcasing strong communication and interpersonal skills. Data accuracy and compliance are paramount, as the incumbent will validate collected information against project requirements, document unsuccessful transactions, and ensure that validated data is recorded in the digital system within five working days.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in data collection or a related field, preferably in customer-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to conduct field surveys effectively with strong customer interaction skills.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology and equipment for accurately obtaining coordinates.
  • Proficient in various data collection software and tools, with a demonstrated ability to record and manage data efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Experience in promoting digital services or products to customers, with a focus on digital adoption strategies.
  • Adaptability to work in diverse environments and regions, showcasing flexibility in travel.
  • Strong organizational skills that enable efficient task prioritization and management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive field surveys to collect accurate customer account data, including names, national IDs, addresses, contact information, and dates of birth.

  • Confirm meter numbers linked to customer accounts, verifying data consistency and integrity.

  • Identify unsuccessful transactions promptly, documenting them accurately to facilitate resolution and improvement strategies.
  • Ensure that all collected data is complete, accurate, and compliant with organizational standards and project specifications.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail throughout the data collection process to minimize errors and ensure high-quality results.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data collection best practices and digital tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the role.
