The Data Coordinator oversees the collection, integrity, analysis, and reporting of district-wide data to support instructional improvement, operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This role ensures accurate, timely, and secure data systems while collaborating with instructional, administrative, and technical teams across the district.


This position will ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, LDOE, and LASSD policies and procedures. Physical Activity Level
Some work is performed in physically comfortable positions with little or light physical effort, and some work requires moderate effort. Lifting thirty to forty pounds may be required and brief periods of heavy muscular exertion may be required. Interpreting/ and transliterating require extended use of the upper body muscles and fine motor movements of the hands. Physical requirements are subject to reasonable accommodation in accordance with ADA standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Education, Statistics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in data management, reporting, or analytics (K–12 or public sector preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with student or/or staff information systems such as JCampus, EdLink, eScholar, SER, STS/LEADS, FTP preferred.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and best practices.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Job Duties and Other Information

Programmatic Responsibilities
Data Governance & Integrity
  • Manage district data systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across departments.
  • Develop and enforce data governance standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Monitor data quality and conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local data reporting requirements.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Design, generate, and maintain reports and dashboards for leadership, schools, and departments.
  • Support accountability, accreditation, and program evaluation efforts.
  • Respond to internal and external data requests in a timely manner.
Systems & Tools
  • Serve as a primary administrator Student Information System (SIS), JCampus, EdLink, eScholar, STS/LEADS, SER, FTP, and related data platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT to support data integrations, system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes, definitions, and workflows.
Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with departments such as Special Education, Assessment, Curriculum, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on data systems, reports, and best practices.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences.
Security & Compliance
  • Ensure data privacy and security in accordance with FERPA and district policies.
    • Manage user access and permissions for data systems.
    • Support audits and compliance reviews related to data reporting.
Professional Conduct
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in attendance and in meeting obligations.
