Description
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Lead in Data Demand Management & Automation Lead to drive critical elements of the data strategy. This role involves administering role-based access to data across the bank. The Lead educates and supports data stewards and users, liaises with vendors for issue resolution, and communicates updates to stakeholders. This person is responsible for demand management and overseeing, collating, prioritizing data and reporting demand across the bank. This person will enable data-driven decision-making processes and facilitate overall effective data governance in the bank.

Critically, and this aspect of the role is expected to grow as Demand Management becomes automated and DQ remediation becomes BAU, the role holder is expected to have the ability to design/build lightweight Copilot automations that enforce data governance controls, improve productivity across various functions in the bank, and democratize the implementation of agents—while formally reporting under Data Governance

Principal Accountabilities:

Agent Automation

Copilot Agent Design & Development
o Architect and build Copilot Agents tailored to enterprise workflows, ensuring alignment with governance, compliance, and security standards.
o Configure Agent tool capabilities for multi-step reasoning, orchestration of tasks, and integration with internal data sources (SharePoint, EDMS, BI platforms).
o Develop modular prompts and reusable templates for common enterprise use cases (e.g., data demand triage, report rationalization, metadata validation).

Advanced Tool Utilization
o Implement deep-dive research workflows for agents, enabling automated retrieval and synthesis of internal and external knowledge.
o Optimize query strategies for accuracy, relevance, and compliance with data privacy policies.

Analyst Tool:
o Enable Copilot Agents to perform structured data analysis, generate insights, and produce dashboards or summaries.
o Integrate analytical outputs into governance processes (e.g., SLA tracking, demand trend analysis).

Integration & Automation
Connect Copilot Agents with enterprise systems (SharePoint, EDMS, ticketing tools) to automate repetitive governance tasks.
o Ensure seamless interoperability with existing AI enablement frameworks and data governance platforms.

Quality Assurance & Testing
o Conduct rigorous testing of Copilot Agents for accuracy, reliability, and adherence to DSG policies.
o Implement monitoring dashboards for agent performance, error rates, and user adoption metrics.

Governance & Compliance
o Embed policy checks (metadata completeness, access rights, regulatory flags) into agent workflows.
o Maintain audit trails for all automated actions performed by Copilot Agents.

Continuous Improvement
o Analyze usage patterns and feedback to refine agent capabilities.
o Stay updated on Copilot feature releases and incorporate advanced functionalities (e.g., multi-agent collaboration, contextual memory).

Stakeholder Enablement
o Train business users and data stewards on interacting with Copilot Agents effectively.
o Document best practices and create playbooks for agent deployment and lifecycle management.

Innovation & Thought Leadership
o Identify new opportunities for Copilot-driven automation across productivity, governance and reporting domains.
o Champion AI adoption by showcasing measurable benefits (time saved, accuracy improvements, SLA compliance).

Evaluate and implement strategies for resource scalability and flexibility to accommodate the bank’s evolving data demands.

Prepare comprehensive information packs for senior management, offering insights into the bank’s data demand pipelines, data demand trends, and departmental performance.

Collaborate with business units to prioritize data demand requests, aligning them with strategic objectives and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Conduct regular reviews and audits of the data demand management processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary enhancements to optimize performance.
