Data Engineer (Pharma Data Domain)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Data Engineer
responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the business team in the US to gather requirements and deliver efficient, high-quality data solutions using our enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud technologies, along with experience in the US pharmaceuticals domain (specialty pharmacy, hub, specialty distributor, 3PL).
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable data pipelines.

Collaborate with US-based business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Develop data summarizations, reports, and insights by leveraging Pandas/PySpark.

Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and quality of data applications.

Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to mitigate risks.

Maintain high standards of code quality, organization, and automation.

Continuously expand technical knowledge through research and learning.

Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and training requirements.

Lead discussions or client-facing meetings in the absence of a Project Manager/Team Lead.
Technical Skills & Experience (Required)

4+ years of professional experience
in data engineering or related roles.

3+ years of hands-on Python programming
experience, with strong expertise in Pandas/PySpark for data analysis and transformations.

Proven experience with
data aggregation projects
in the
US pharmaceutical market
(specialty pharmacy, hub, specialty distributor, 3PL).

Strong understanding of
patient and payer data management
.

Proficiency in
SQL
and experience with modern data platforms such as
Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, and AWS
.

analytical and problem-solving skills
, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex datasets.
