Data Engineer

Data Engineer/SQL developer /Data Analyst:

Requirements:
Follow established procedures and guidelines for daily, weekly and monthly processes while maintaining monthly data analysis and reporting.

Support teams daily related to the acquisition and servicing of clients including but not limited to client on-boarding, rate management, contract fulfilment and client services.
Support internal departments through automation, process improvement, data validation and various AI initiatives
Build effective working relationships and support internal departments in meeting company goals.

Candidate must be able to:

1. Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end custom analytics solutions, sourcing data from internal systems, external APIs, and public records as applicable.

2. Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to define data requirements, ensure data quality and deliver actionable insights through dashboards and reports.

3. Conduct exploratory data analysis and ad hoc investigations to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.

4. Build and optimise complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and user-defined functions within Microsoft SQL Server to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

5. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using a combination of SQL and Python, ensuring efficient and accurate data processing across systems.

6. Utilize Python and data/web-centric libraries such as pandas, pyodbc, SQLAlchemy, requests/httpx, zeep, paramiko, scikit-learn, and matplotlib for data manipulation, analysis, automation, and integration tasks.

7. Design and implement machine learning models to support forecasting, classification, clustering, or recommendation use cases; monitor model performance and retrain as needed.

8. Apply AI techniques (e.g., natural language processing, generative AI, or intelligent automation) to optimize business processes and enhance data products.

9. Create dynamic Power BI and Excel dashboards and reports, including advanced DAX expressions to support complex data models and KPIs.

10. Integrate with RESTful APIs to exchange data in formats such as JSON and XML, ensuring smooth communication between systems.

11. Leverage workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow, or similar) to schedule, monitor, and manage automated data workflows.

12. Conduct performance tuning and troubleshoot issues related to data queries, pipelines, and dashboards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related software development experience. Experience in customer service or client management a plus.

Advanced skills (5 years +) in machine learning, Python and its frameworks (Pandas, Pyodbc, SQLAlchemy, requests/httpx, Zeep, Paramiko, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib), SQL, Tableau, PowerBI and Excel.
Knowledge of statistical models for risk assessment, pricing, and optimization.

Experience in developing and deploying impactful reporting dashboards for strategic decision-making.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of articulating complex information to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
A collaborative mindset, with experience partnering effectively with business units and cross-functional stakeholders.
Proactive and adaptable work ethic, thriving in a fast-paced environment and taking initiative to drive solutions.
Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement, while also contributing effectively within a team setting.

Ability to perform testing and validation of models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
The desired candidate should also be able to slip into following roles as and when needed Business Analyst (15% of the time ) / Tech sales ( 5% of the time).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs400,000.00 - Rs500,000.00 per month
