Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Specialist with strong expertise in Python and Spotfire development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights by building, debugging, and optimizing scripts, as well as designing advanced dashboards and visualizations. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and business-aware, with knowledge of Oil & Gas industry, data modeling best practices, and visualization design. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and debug the required set of scripts to handle a provided set of raw data files.
• Ensure timely delivery of all project materials: scripts, dashboards, and documents.

Requirements

• +10 years of experience
• Strong expertise in Python programming, with the ability to write, debug, and optimize code.
• Proven experience in Spotfire development for Business Intelligence, data visualization, and dashboard creation (note: this role is not focused on Power BI or Tableau).
• Hands-on experience with Spotfire scripting functions and blocks for customization and automation.
• Solid data modeling skills - capable of cleaning, transforming, and structuring raw data for reporting.
• Familiarity with the key KPIs of the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong grasp of visualization best practices, including chart selection, effective color usage, and user experience design.
• Sharp analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data, detect anomalies, and deliver actionable insights.

This position will require the candidate to be able to relocate to Middle Eastern countries for up to 60% of the time.
