SAP Data Specialist

Accenture is seeking a hands-on SAP Data Specialist to support data migration, validation, and cutover activities for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

This role will focus on ensuring data readiness, accuracy, and compliance across Human Capital Management (HCM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Finance workstreams during migration and cutover phases. The SAP Data Specialist will collaborate closely with business data owners, technical teams, and third-party partners to deliver high-quality data migration outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) activities from legacy systems into SAP.

• Define and validate data mapping rules and transformation logic for Master Data and Transaction Data in collaboration with business stakeholders.

• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and defect resolution using automated scripts and manual validation techniques.

• Lead data cutover activities, including rehearsals, readiness reviews, and go/no-go decision support.

• Maintain data migration runbooks, mapping templates, and issue logs with clear and comprehensive documentation.

• Collaborate with business, technical, and third-party teams to ensure alignment and readiness for data migration and cutover phases.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of SAP data structures (e.g., MDG, S/4HANA).

• Practical experience in data migration projects, including ETL processes and data validation.

• Proficiency in data migration tools such as SAP BODS, LTMC, LSMW, or similar platforms.

• Experience in performing data quality assurance and reconciliation tasks.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business, technical, and third-party teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in maintaining runbooks, templates, and logs.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
