Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong analytical mindset and a keen interest in risk analytics. In this role, you'll support Tamara s risk teams by turning complex data into actionable insights that help us manage risk exposure, refine lending strategies, and drive responsible growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain feature marts to support machine learning models, underwriting strategies, and real-time decisioning.
• Develop scalable, production-grade data transformations using tools like SQL, dbt, or Python to power analytics, risk monitoring, and experimentation.
• Query and manipulate data from multiple sources (e.g., SQL, Snowflake) to deliver timely insights.
• Help enhance data quality through validation checks, anomaly detection, and observability of critical pipelines.
• Perform ad hoc analysis on new customer segments, risk events, or product changes.
• Help enhance data quality and develop scalable reporting solutions.
• Support experimentation and A/B testing related to risk initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, risk analysts, and engineering teams to ensure robust data foundations for decision-making.
