Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to help build, manage, and maintain data pipelines and data lake solutions. The role involves working with SQL Server, Azure or similar cloud platforms, and integrating data from multiple sources such as databases and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, a basic understanding of cloud data platforms, and a willingness to learn and grow in data engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining Data Lakes on Azure or other cloud/on-prem servers
• Develop and support data pipelines to sync data between SQL Server databases
• Ingest data from multiple sources including:
• SQL databases
• APIs
• Flat files (CSV, JSON, etc.)
• Write, modify, and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
• Perform basic query optimization to improve performance
• Monitor data pipelines and resolve failures or data issues
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Work closely with developers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements
• Document data flows, pipelines, and table structures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and SQL querying
• Basic experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
• Experience syncing data between databases
• Familiarity with REST APIs and data ingestion
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python or C#
• Understanding of cloud or server-based environments

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

• Basic knowledge of data modeling (tables, relationships, fact/dimension concepts)
• Experience with file formats like CSV, JSON, or Parquet
• Familiarity with Git or version control systems
• Awareness of data security and access control
• Exposure to scheduling and automation tools
• Understanding of logging and monitoring concepts
