Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data systems that support analytics, reporting, and product capabilities. This role focuses on developing reliable data pipelines, integrating data from multiple external and internal sources, and enabling downstream applications and dashboards that drive business insights.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to storage and visualization—and has experience building data solutions that integrate with modern analytics platforms and web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
• Develop automated workflows for collecting and synchronizing data from external services and internal systems.
• Implement reliable data ingestion and integration patterns for APIs, services, and other programmatic data sources.
• Manage and optimize data storage across SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data models and high availability.
• Develop mechanisms for identifying, tracking, and recording updates within datasets to maintain accurate historical records.
• Implement scheduling and orchestration processes for recurring data workflows and automated processing tasks.
• Support analytics and reporting initiatives by preparing clean, structured datasets for business intelligence tools.
• Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Integrate dashboards and data visualizations into websites, portals, or internal applications where required.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of data pipelines and reporting infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong programming experience with Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Familiarity with API integrations and data ingestion from external services.
• Experience working with SQL databases as well as modern NoSQL data stores.
• Experience building Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Understanding of data modeling, transformation, and performance optimization.
• Experience with workflow scheduling, automation, and operational monitoring of data systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft data ecosystem, including services within Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms.
• Experience integrating analytics dashboards into web applications or internal portals.
• Exposure to modern data infrastructure practices such as CI/CD for data pipelines, containerization, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed data architectures.
