🚀 Data Engineer (Snowflake / Modern Data Platform)

📍 Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid

We're currently partnering with a high-growth organization in Los Angeles that is investing heavily in building a next-generation cloud data ecosystem . We’re looking for a Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping how data flows across an enterprise.

This is a confidential search for a company that is centralizing analytics on a modern Snowflake + AWS architecture , and they’re looking for someone who can help build the backbone of that platform.

If you enjoy designing scalable pipelines, optimizing data architecture, and working closely with analytics teams to turn raw data into actionable insights, this role is worth a conversation.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Develop and scale a cloud-based analytics environment built around Snowflake and AWS
• Design robust data pipelines that bring together data from internal applications, APIs, and third-party systems
• Create reliable ingestion frameworks that support enterprise reporting and analytics
• Structure and maintain curated datasets that power dashboards, reporting, and business intelligence tools
• Build logical data models and schemas that support efficient querying and analysis
• Continuously refine warehouse performance, storage structures, and compute usage
• Build and maintain modern ELT workflows using data integration tools such as Fivetran and similar platforms
• Develop automated data transformations using SQL and Python
• Ensure high availability and reliability across ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Partner closely with analysts, finance teams, and operational stakeholders to translate business questions into scalable data solutions
• Support enterprise data initiatives including documentation, governance, and access controls
• Help drive improvements to data quality, observability, and monitoring
• Improve Snowflake performance through warehouse configuration, query tuning, and architecture enhancements
• Identify opportunities to streamline processing efficiency and reduce infrastructure costs
• Support the long-term scalability of the company’s data environment

Ideal Background

We’re looking for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with modern cloud data platform experience :

• 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
• Experience building data pipelines and ELT/ETL frameworks
• Strong programming capability in Python or similar languages
• Experience working with AWS-based infrastructure
• Background designing data models and data warehouse schemas
• Experience integrating multiple data sources including APIs, transactional systems, or external data feeds

Exposure to Modern Data & AI Tools (Nice to Have)

This team is exploring the future of AI-enabled analytics, so experience with the following is a plus:

• Snowflake ecosystem tools such as Snowpark or Cortex
• AI-assisted data transformation or LLM-powered analytics workflows
• Natural language data interfaces or AI-driven data exploration
• Experience supporting BI tools such as Tableau or similar platforms
