Data Entry Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support the Accounts Payable team in Richmond, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and can maintain accuracy while handling repetitive financial data. The role focuses on invoice processing, document management, and timely data entry using spreadsheet tools and internal systems.

Responsibilities:
• Enter a high volume of accounts payable invoice information accurately and efficiently each day to support timely processing.
• Review and assign appropriate coding details to invoices before submitting them for payment workflows.
• Scan, organize, and maintain invoice records so financial documents remain accessible and up to date.
• Use Microsoft Excel to track invoice activity, verify entries, and support reporting needs within the AP function.
• Check data for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies or escalating issues when needed.
• Prioritize daily workload effectively in a fast-moving environment with consistent deadlines.
• Support accounts payable operations by keeping invoice documentation aligned with department procedures.
• Proven experience performing high-volume data entry with strong speed and accuracy.
• Background in accounts payable, including invoice handling and coding responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and confidence working within computer-based data entry systems.
• Strong numeric data entry skills and careful attention to detail.
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently in a fast-paced work setting.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to keep scanned and digital records well maintained.
• Strong typing skills and the ability to meet daily productivity expectations.
