Data Entry PLM Specialist – Footwear Materials

Location: Portland, OR (onsite, with some hybrid flexibility after training)

Type: 6–9 month contract (high likelihood of extension)

Hours: 25–30 hours per week (potential to increase)

This role supports a growing footwear team by entering, organizing, and validating materials data within a new PLM system. The position is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys structured work in digital systems, and wants to contribute to a small, collaborative product creation environment.

The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining detailed materials data in the PLM system, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and aligned to established naming, coding, and organizational standards. You will help support data migration from one PLM system to another, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and work with product design and product development partners to resolve questions. The role requires rapid response to quality-control feedback and timely correction of issues to keep the project on track for system go-live.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of experience in data entry or similarly detailed work, with proven speed and accuracy and a very low tolerance for errors. Experience working within structured systems such as PLM, ERP, or databases is required, along with some exposure to the footwear space (for example retail, product testing, materials, or product development). You should be comfortable learning new tools and processes, able to work with minimal supervision while staying highly organized and reliable.

Success in this role also depends on being outgoing and team-oriented, with strong communication skills and a positive presence in a small office setting. Hands-on experience with PLM systems or work with footwear materials or product data are strong pluses.
