Abandoned Property Unit Processor

Pay Rate: 23.00

100% Remote - Must be in the Philadelphia area.

Contract to start - 6 month with potential to convert

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Researches all cases of shareholder returned mail including but not limited to first and second notice letters, third party locater searches, and accesses pertinent Vanguard records to discover errors.
• Understands and complies with all SEC guidelines in this research. Understands Abandoned Property process from Returned from Post Office (RPO) through Escheatment.
• Establishes RPO restrictions by exercising good judgment in comparing returned mail data with Client profile information in compliance with SEC guidelines / unit procedures.
• Maintains 100% accurate records for RPO accounts that are potentially escheatable as dictated by applicable state laws and SEC guidelines. Identifies, analyzes, and documents trends.
• Recommends improvements to workflow efficiencies, in developing necessary action steps to prevent reoccurrences.
• Assists other team members and is supportive in both group and one on one settings.

Qualifications:

 Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience

 One to two years business experience (Operations experience preferred)

 Demonstrated PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

 Demonstrated ability to work with quality and efficiency in a high volume situation with time constraints.

 Ability and willingness to effectively work in a team environment.

 Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Strong client focus and ability to develop relationships with internal/external clients

 Excellent time management and research skills

 Ability to adhere to a set schedule

 High attention to detail, and ability to fit details into broader contexts

Special Factors:

 Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week as business volumes require

 Must be available for initial training sessions

 Shift hours are available Monday through Friday
