JOB OVERVIEW

JOB TITLE : Data Governance Administrator

LOCATION : Doha, Qatar

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the overall management of data governance activities within TASMU Platform and accountable for data governance policies set by MCIT

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead governance programs/initiatives for TASMU Platform

· Supervise the integrity of governance definitions on cross-functional interactions

· Formalize governance standards across for TASMU Platform (including policies, data models, business rules,…)

· Supervise the process of monitor and enforce compliance of governance rules and standards

· Play for a variety of roles across the data management cycles in support of busines simulation and steady state operations – power user, data custodian and stewardship roles

· Perform non-standard analysis to identify anomalies in data and liaise with sectorial data stewards to support data quality management

· Support data classification and metadata/glossary mgt. for published data sources to enable data discovery and meaningful information

· Support communication and education to data users on appropriate use and protection of data

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Strong knowledge of traditional relational databases and Big Data environments, analytical and problem-solving skills and thorough understanding of the data life cycle

· Solid understanding of data protection and data security policies

· Ability to standardise data templates for reports and dashboards mediating with all stakeholders

POTENTIAL TALENT'S BACKGROUND

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business administration or relevant discipline

· 10+ years of working experience in designing and developing MDM applications, metadata management, data architecture, data quality and data lineage
