To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for new Data Governance Sr. Manager:



Job purpose:

Architect and operationalize the enterprise data governance framework, ensuring full alignment with regulatory standards (NDMO). Responsible for establishing data stewardship, driving data quality strategy, and deploying the enterprise data catalog to ensure trusted, accessible data assets.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:


  1. Define & Lead Enterprise Governance Strategy: Establish and communicate the enterprise data governance vision, roadmap, and operating model. Secure executive sponsorship and funding and align the program with business strategy and regulatory mandates.
  2. Architect Foundational Governance Frameworks: Design and gain approval for core enterprise frameworks, including the data governance policy, data classification taxonomy, data quality strategy, and the business glossary standard.
  3. Establish & Oversee Governance Structure: Found and chair the enterprise Data Stewardship Council and other governance forums. Define roles (e.g., Data Steward, Data Owner) and decision-rights to institutionalize accountability across the organization.
  4. Select & Govern Enterprise Tooling: Evaluate, select, and own the business case for enterprise governance tools (catalog, lineage, quality). Lead the deployment and adoption strategy, ensuring tooling supports the governance framework.
  5. Manage Regulatory & Risk Alignment: Partner with Legal, Compliance, and InfoSec leadership to interpret regulations and direct the implementation of controls (e.g., NDMO, GDPR). Own the governance program's risk posture and reporting to regulators.
  6. Lead Program Maturity & Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and maturity metrics for the governance program. Report progress, value, and risk to the executive leadership team and board-level committees.
  7. Develop Governance Talent & Culture: Build, mentor, and manage the data governance team. Drive enterprise-wide data literacy and governance awareness initiatives to foster a data-driven culture.


Must have technical / professional qualifications (knowledge & Skills level of presence in the job (High/Medium/Low)

  • 7-10+ years of overall experience, including more than 5 years specializing in data governance or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of NDMO.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
  • Must have Fintech or banking background.
