Role Responsibilities

The Data Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data integration solutions from various source systems into a unified and consistent location for further analysis and reporting. Additionally, the Data Integration Specialist will collaborate with business units and the IT department to ensure the quality, integrity, and availability of data from source systems align with business objectives.


  • Identify key data source systems to centralize for reporting and analytics needs;
  • Document requirements and processes on how data will be integrated into the data warehouse;
  • Design workflows to extract data from source system into target system ensuring accuracy, integrity and consistency of data from source to target;
  • Evaluate need for data integration to target systems when new source systems are built;
  • Review needs of existing data integrations as new source systems are built;
  • Provide recommendations of best practices when integrating data source systems;
  • Analyze performance of ETL/ELT workflows from source to target and optimize as needed;
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends in business data and assist in reporting as needed;
  • Create reports and dashboards relating to performance of workflows from integrated source systems;
  • Optimize workflow and processes relating to data integration solutions as needed;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to help understand processes and procedures of data integration;
  • Communicate with stakeholders on upcoming changes to data integrations impacting their needs;
  • Collaborate with the Data Warehouse Administrator to create policies and procedures relating to data pipeline development;
  • Alternate monitoring the ETL/ELT workflows with the Data Warehouse Administrator;
  • Presents a helpful and positive attitude, focusing on solutions and promoting a collaborative environment at all times;
  • Practices and brings to life with the team our “Yes And… culture;
  • Comply with established regulations and law requirements;
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management or related field;
  • 0-1 years of experience in data analysis;
  • 1-3 years of data integration, ETL development, or data engineering;
  • Familiar with API integration, SQL, Python, Java;
  • SSIS Packaging experience;
  • Alteryx Knowledge;
  • Experience working in a credit union or financial services environment.

Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze KPIs and recommend actions;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines;
  • Familiar with best practices in data privacy and governance;
  • Comfortable with presentation, facilitation, and public speaking as needed;
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Member-focused mindset with commitment to improving financial wellbeing;
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills;
