Job Summary:
A Data Management Lead role is a cornerstone to the success of the data management team; he is the person with the most seniority in the team and he works closely with all team members. He helps the team to understand and execute their job effectively. He builds the team, mentors and guides them to the successful delivery of the assigned tasks.
Responsibilities:- Interviewing, onboarding and other hiring activities & Training technical personnel
- Ensure that your team understands their responsibilities
- Help team members to develop their soft skills, like leadership or conflict management
- Delegating work and assignments to team members as per their skills and personal preferences
- Set targets and expectations & Create end goals for their team
- Ensure everyone remains productive and gets projects done on time
- Developing work schedules for the team
- Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible
- Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements
- Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns
- Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes
- Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders
- Creates a technical vision to turn it into reality with the help of the team
- Keep on asking for reviews and feedback from peers
- Reporting on all the weekly tasks in form of accurate and detailed reports
- To ensure that Team is working as per the listed procedures
- Partners with managers to help with decisions around prioritization, execution, work division, sprint planning, goal setting, tech-debt management
- Breaking down a complex idea into smaller, tangible tasks
- Analyzing users' needs and then finding applications to serve them
- Guide team members through technical issues and challenges
- explain new projects to their team and troubleshoot any problems that occur
- Collaborate with the team to identify and fix technical problems, provide Architectural and Design direction
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent
- 9-11 years of work experience
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide your team members
- Have Decision-making and organizational abilities to help you effectively manage workload
- Able to give clear instructions and set expectations
- Strong technical skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving and skills
- Has mature written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
- Able to handle multiple concurrent projects, with an ability to prioritize and manage projects effectively.
- Experience in coordinating with data stewards and analysts to understand business requirements, functional requirements, and conversion of business rules into technical specifications
- Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Testing and Support of Data Warehousing and Data Integration Solutions and ETL data pipelines
- Experience SQL, UNIX/Linux, various programming languages like Java and Python, orchestration tools and processes or other directly related experience.
- Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW & BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
- Experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Modeling of Unstructured Data and business process relationships
- Experience with Big data technologies
- Good understanding of Data integration, Data quality paradigms and data governance/ data architecture concepts
- Experience working in Agile framework and project management methodologies
- Full lifecycle project experience as a developer in designing and developing ETL jobs.
- Ability to mentor others, including peers and application developers, clearly explain complex technical issues to business analysts and end users
