Data Management Officer

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced professional certifications in Data Management and Governance such as CDMP Practitioner/Master or Informatica Certified Professional .

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the implementation of the Data Catalog using Informatica, ensuring effective governance and classification practices.
• Develop and implement policies for Freedom of Information, Data Sharing, and Open Data in alignment with national regulations (DGA, NDMO).
• Supervise data classification initiatives and ensure compliance across departments.
• Provide recommendations to senior management on data governance enhancements and data-sharing policies.
• Coordinate with IT teams and data owners to ensure integration of efforts and maturity of practices.
• Contribute to building team capabilities by mentoring and guiding junior staff.
• Supervise the resolution of data quality issues , escalating when necessary.

Professional Skills:

• Proficiency in Informatica Data Catalog & Governance tools.
• In-depth knowledge of national regulations such as NDMO, DGA, Freedom of Information, and Open Data standards.
• Strong expertise in policy frameworks, process design, and data governance operations. Advanced analytical skills in data classification and linking with policies and standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage stakeholders internally and externally.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English at a professional level.
