Data Management Team Lead

UAQ is currently seeking a Data Management Team Lead to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate shall be following the mentioned below Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Data Governance Framework, policies, and standards (aligned with NDMO and corporate policies), enforce data ownership models, and maintain metadata, glossary, and lineage.
• Define and monitor data quality KPIs, resolve data issues with stewards and system owners, and ensure compliance with NCA, NDMO, and data privacy regulations.
• Act as the liaison between IT, business units, and leadership; promote data literacy; and lead the Data Governance Council/Committee.
• Align governance with data platforms, recommend tools, embed policies into systems, and report governance metrics, risks, and compliance to management.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Certifications : CDMP or equivalent in Data Management; knowledge of NDMO, NCA, and data privacy frameworks.
• Experience : 8+ years in data management with 3+ in governance leadership. Proven record in Data Governance Frameworks, policies, data quality, metadata, lineage, and compliance.
• Skills : Strong knowledge of NDMO standards, data quality KPIs, stewardship, and governance tools. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, risk awareness, and ability to promote data literacy
