Summary

Introduction of a new role to provide expertise across data warehousing platforms including DataBricks, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI. The Data Manager will be responsible for supporting, implementing and maintaining data warehouse systems to streamline business process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and implement them.
• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable Data Warehouse platform on Azure.
• Lead and contribute to the development of data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other cloud-native tools.
• Define and manage CI/CD processes for data integration and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other data engineers and analysts on the team.
• Manage Azure-level requests such as data access provisioning, service deployments, and billing monitoring.
• Contribute to cost optimization strategies and ensure best practices in Azure resource utilization.
• Support integration with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric for reporting and data consumption needs.
• Work closely with IT and ERP consultants to resolve system issues and enhance financial workflows.
• Provide training and support on reporting functionalities.
• Participates in projects to gather information requirements, to assess on the project tasks.
• Review the utilization of the system and ensure the business owners are maximizing the potential of the system processes.
• Provide recommendations of process improvements implemented by 3rd party consulting firms
• Ensure excellent support is provided to all team members.
• Work closely with operational teams and the ERP team to build best in class reports using PowerBI and external data sources

Requirements

• Min. 7 years in data engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure-based data platforms.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and SQL/Data Lake architecture.
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for data pipeline deployments.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT workflows, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for data visualization and analytics support.
• Experience managing Azure resources, including access controls, monitoring, and cost management.
