About the role: DNV is the world’s largest ship classification society with a global presence. DNV is a self-owned foundation, with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment. DNV has high ambitions for improving business processes and services by using AI. DNV is now establishing an AI team in Pune to strengthen DNV’s ability to meet ambitious business goals. You will be part of a leading AI competency and development team located at the two locations Pune and Oslo (DNV headquarters). The AI team focuses on use of AI and machine learning to improve DNV’s maritime global work processes. We create AI systems that enable and support digitalization of DNV’s global production processes and systems as well as creation of new digital services. The AI team consists of experienced data scientists and software developers. You will collaborate in teams with different functional competencies and domain experts. Our deliveries have a global impact through our multi-national organization, and through cooperation with large companies. Daily tasks / duties: You will solve real-world business cases and be a key contributor to programming and releasing AI and Machine Learning solutions. You will engage in all project phases, from dialogue with stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved, through data analysis, planning technical architecture and team collaboration on experimenting, programming and releasing solutions through our DevOps cycles to production. You are also expected to actively explore new opportunities for applied AI, to stay up-to-dated with main trends in the AI industry, and to identify how AI may create new business opportunities for DNV.
