Position Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Data Specialist who enjoys working with data and understands how the right information powers successful email marketing and lead generation. In this role, you’ll be at the core of our Business Development efforts—extracting, managing, and analyzing prospect data to help build a strong, high-quality pipeline.
This position blends hands-on data sourcing with analytical thinking, supporting smarter targeting, better campaigns, and measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Sourcing
- Extract and scrape high-quality prospect data from platforms such as Apollo.io, Lead411, Seamless.ai, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other B2B databases
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists based on defined criteria including industry, company size, job title, and geography
- Develop, optimize, and document data extraction workflows and processes
- Stay up to date with platform updates, capabilities, and best practices to maximize data quality and efficiency
- Continuously identify and evaluate new data sources and tools to strengthen lead generation efforts
Data Quality & Management
- Manage, clean, deduplicate, segment, and maintain email marketing databases with a target of 95%+ data accuracy
- Validate email addresses, phone numbers, and other contact details using verification tools
- Standardize data formats and ensure consistency across all systems and platforms
- Implement ongoing data hygiene practices including list cleaning, bounce management, and suppression list maintenance
- Ensure full compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other applicable data privacy regulations
- Monitor sender reputation, list health, and deliverability indicators
Strategic Segmentation & Targeting
- Create advanced audience segments using behavioral data, firmographics, demographics, and engagement patterns
- Build custom audience profiles for targeted campaigns and account-based marketing initiatives
- Develop lookalike audiences based on high-performing customer segments
- Implement and manage lead scoring models to help prioritize high-value prospects
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze key email marketing metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, bounce rates, unsubscribe rates, and ROI
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for the Business Development Manager, highlighting insights and clear next steps
- Track list growth, data source performance, and overall data quality metrics
- Conduct A/B testing analysis across subject lines, content, send times, and audience segments
- Monitor campaign performance to identify trends, gaps, and optimization opportunities
Collaboration & Campaign Support
- Support lead generation and nurturing campaigns through strategic data analysis and segmentation
- Work closely with Business Development and Marketing teams to align data insights with sales and campaign objectives
- Provide data-driven recommendations on campaign targeting, messaging, and timing
- Assist in building customer journey maps based on engagement and behavioral data
Data Security & Compliance
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across email marketing platforms and CRM systems
- Maintain detailed documentation for data sources, extraction methods, and processing workflows
- Implement and monitor data access controls and security protocols
- Stay informed on evolving data privacy regulations and ensure ongoing compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience working with B2B data extraction platforms such as Apollo.io, Lead411, Seamless.ai, and ZoomInfo
Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
Experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar
Working knowledge of CRM systems and data integration
Solid understanding of email deliverability best practices and compliance standards
Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy
Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
