Description:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Production Support or a related role, with hands-on exposure to DWH environments
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents related to DWH jobs, ETL processes, and SQL queries
  • Understanding of operating systems (Linux, Unix)
  • Knowledge of Oracle database management systems
  • Support scheduled batch jobs (e.g., Control-M, ODI, OBIEE) and ensure successful data transfers between source systems and DWH environments
  • Strong technical skills in SQL (including writing, tuning, and troubleshooting queries), UNIX/Linux, and scripting languages (Perl/Shell)
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., ODI, Informatica), batch scheduling (e.g., Control-M), and BI/reporting platforms (e.g., OBIEE, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with incident and change management processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues for Data Warehouse systems and related applications, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Exposure to incident ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), documentation, and reporting for production support activities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain documentation for production issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures related to DWH and SQL operations
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy software updates, optimize DWH performance, and implement best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Coordinate downtime and patching activities for production DWH servers, communicating with stakeholders and ensuring business continuity
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production issues after business hours as required
  • Generate and review reports on system performance, job status, and incident trends for management and audit purposes
  • Ability to provide technical training and support to users
  • Proven track record of root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
  • Experience with data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and BI frameworks
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management best practices
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
