Responsibilities:
  • Analyze requirements and prioritize tasks as necessary
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations & patching
  • Review and optimize existing databases and T-SQL codebase
  • Validate and implement SQL code
  • Test, debug and deploy various database related applications
  • Design database architecture for new applications
  • Support and train junior developers in TSQL best practices
  • Document development and operational procedures

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or computer engineering or information systems or a related technical field and/or 5+ years of experience in SQL database administration.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High-level experience in SQL Development and Database Architecture
  • Considerable experience with Microsoft T-SQL and building complex queries
  • Strong experience developing ETL packages using SSIS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Significant experience designing databases for business applications
  • Proficiency in database and query optimization as well as indexing strategies
  • Knowledge of data structures, database design and ability to create functional data models
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills suitable for a professional environment
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, identify facts, and draw valid conclusions

**The position will require occasional sitting,standing,walking,bending, and reaching. The physical requirements will be ability to push/pull and lift/carry 1-10 lbs.**
