Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our database systems, ensuring high availability and performance. This role requires a deep understanding of various database technologies and the ability to implement effective solutions for data management, security, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain databases including MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server to ensure high availability and performance.
• Design, implement, and optimize database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Develop ETL processes using SSIS to facilitate data integration from various sources.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of databases to enhance efficiency.
• Write and maintain scripts using Bash (Unix shell) and other scripting languages for automation of database tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to support database design and application integration.
• Monitor database health, conduct regular backups, and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in database management.

Experience

• Proven experience in database administration with a strong focus on MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and shell scripting for database management tasks.
• Strong understanding of high availability configurations and performance tuning methodologies.
• Experience with data integration processes (ETL) using tools like SSIS is preferred.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation purposes is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51.35 - $73.00 per hour
