Database Developer / Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Designing database schemas, tables, and other objects to meet organizational needs.
  

• Installing, configuring, and upgrading database management systems (DBMS).
  

• Continuously monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations for speed and efficiency.
  

• Implementing security measures, managing user access, and enforcing data integrity policies.
  

• Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues. Creating and responding to alerts.
  

• Applying patches, performing routine checks, and managing data updates.
  

• Strong understanding of SQL Server and MySQL Configurations
  

• Implement Backup and restore planning w.r.t. RPO and RTO
  

  
  

Skills:

• Proficiency with specific database systems (e.g., MySQL and SQL Server)
  

• Strong proficiency in SQL query writing, optimization and database management.
  

• Strong understanding of Optimization Techniques like Table partitioning, Indexed Views and Filtered Indexes
  

• Knowledge of Full text indexing and searching
  

• Knowledge of SSIS
  

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  

• Experience in working in cloud environments like Azure, AWS and GCP
  

• The ability to handle complex and big data tables with a high degree of accuracy.
  

• Strong understanding of Isolation levels, Locks and Deadlocks
  

• Strong knowledge of Extended Events and Profiler
  

• Ability to design and develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  

• Ability to analyse and interpret DMVs to generate meaningful insights of RDBMS.
  

• The ability to explain complex technical information to both technical and non-technical team members.
  

• The capacity to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and support requests.
  

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  

• Data Certification is a huge plus
