Job Summary
The Day Care Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children enrolled in the school’s day care program. The role involves planning age-appropriate activities, ensuring the well-being of children, maintaining discipline and hygiene, and supporting their emotional and social development in alignment with CBSE school standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Child Care & Safety
- Ensure the safety, security, and emotional comfort of all children at all times.
- Maintain constant supervision and a child-friendly environment.
- Follow school protocols for emergency and safety procedures.
2. Daily Routine & Supervision
- Manage daily schedules including meals, naps, playtime, and hygiene routines.
- Assist children with feeding, washing, toileting, and changing as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of the classroom, toys, and equipment.
3. Learning & Development
- Conduct age-appropriate learning and play activities (storytelling, art & craft, music, sensory play, etc.).
- Support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Observe and record children's progress; report concerns to parents and supervisors.
4. Communication
- Establish positive communication with parents, providing daily updates on a child’s routine, behavior, and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and administrators.
5. Documentation & Record-Keeping
- Maintain attendance records, meal charts, activity logs, and health notes.
- Report any accidents, behavioral issues, or unusual observations immediately.
6. Professional Conduct
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, and child protection protocols.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- Minimum: Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Education / NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) / ECCE.
- Preferred: Graduate with specialized training in child care/early education.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience working with children in day care or pre-primary settings.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centric approach.
- Ability to plan creative and engaging activities.
- Basic first-aid knowledge (preferred).

- As per school day care schedule (typically post-school hours).
- Flexibility to extend during special events or parent meetings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
