Daycare Assistant

Job Description:

• This position is 5.75 hours a day in the baby room.
• Ensure that children are safe and that their everyday needs are met – this may include diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Ensure children are kept active, entertained, and engaged in developmental activities.
• Monitor and report developmental or safety concerns.
• Supervised by Daycare Supervisor and Berry Preschool Director.

Job Requirement:

• Gets along well with others; Good attendance; Understands daycare requirements.
• Experience working with children preferred, but not required.
• Be self-motivated, able to think on your feet, and compassionate.
• Physical energy to run around after children all day; Good communication skills to report on the child’s individual needs/performance/development to superiors or parents.

Job Qualifications:

• Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law.
