Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Daycare Director/Lead Teacher to oversee daily operations and provide high-quality early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and working with young children, including infants and toddlers. This leadership role requires a nurturing approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards
  • Lead classroom activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
  • Manage daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety protocols
  • Supervise and support teaching staff and caregivers to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Conduct regular assessments of children's developmental progress and communicate updates to parents
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children through proper supervision and adherence to safety procedures
  • Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
  • Foster strong relationships with families to promote community engagement and support child development goals
  • Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones

Requirements

  • Proven experience in childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or classroom teaching
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behavioral needs effectively
  • Background in early childhood education or related fields preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of educators while maintaining a nurturing environment for children
  • Experience with infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and classroom experience necessary
  • Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for engaging with children and families alike
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.55 - $30.76 per hour
