Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this versatile role, you will provide flexible support across various classrooms, assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for kids of different ages. Responsibilities

  • Support multiple classrooms by assisting teachers with child supervision, activities, and transitions throughout the day
  • Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, and social interactions to promote childhood development
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children by monitoring their behavior and responding promptly to their needs
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment by helping with classroom setup, tidying up materials, and sanitizing toys and surfaces
  • Collaborate with staff to implement curriculum plans focused on early childhood education principles and developmental milestones
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere

Skills

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom management skills are essential
  • Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to perform first aid and CPR; certification preferred but not required upon hire
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Strong caregiving skills including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
  • Excellent behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct among children
  • Effective classroom management skills to handle multiple age groups simultaneously
