Duties
- Assist lead teachers by supervising children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods across different classrooms.
- Support classroom management by helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote development in areas such as social skills, motor skills, and early learning concepts.
- Provide compassionate care by attending to individual needs, including diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to implement behavior management strategies and support positive interactions among children.
- Cover classrooms during staff absences or breaks to ensure continuous supervision and care.
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification is required if not already held.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs of children and staff.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward caregiving and teaching roles.
