Daycare teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and educational activities.
• Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the classroom to ensure a healthy learning environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall daycare experience.
• Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing training.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles.
• Experience in daycare or early childhood education settings.
• First aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to provide infant care with compassion and attention to detail.
• Proficient in behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
• Experience working with students with disabilities is an asset.
• Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on nurturing individual needs.
• Ability to engage toddlers through creative play and educational activities.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
