Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and creative activities aligned with early childhood development standards.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote active learning, critical thinking, and social skills among preschool-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment.
- Support children with special education needs and early intervention programs to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Facilitate classroom activities that encourage social interaction, motor skills development, and emotional regulation.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management in preschool or daycare settings.
- Proficiency in working with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool experience or private school environments is a plus.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster positive classroom dynamics.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures, tutoring techniques, and teaching physical education activities.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
